Algeria proved to be one of the most entertaining sides at the 2014 World Cup and a number of their players have been linked with moves to the Premier League this summer. Sporting Lisbon’s Islam Slimani is reported to be the main target for the likes of Everton, West Ham and Newcastle but the Mirror has identified another member of the squad as a possible contender for a switch to White Hart Lane.
Yacine Brahimi scored the final goal in Algeria’s 4-2 demolition of South Korea and also provided an assist during the tournament. An attacking midfielder, the 24 year old can also switch to either wing to provide the kind of versatility that might appeal to Mauricio Pochettino ahead of the new campaign.
Brahimi has apparently said that he wants to leave Rennes ahead of the new European season. That has seen the link to Spurs emerge but is there really a vacancy for the player and should we be looking at his international colleague Slimani instead?

What have I achieved in that time? Well I’ve got three promotions at work and built my own house. What have you achieved in that time.
So you have gone from an arse wiper to an arse licker and built a lego house in the time we won a cup! Well done Mertscieny..you must be so proud.
Wait, don’t tell me, yet another f**king midfielder linked to THFC. According to the arseholes in the press and assorted bloggers/sheep, Spurs are keeping tabs on every midfielder available and will eventually have so many at the club, every outfield player will be replaced by a midfielder, the aim is ultimately to field 10 midfielders and a goalkeeper with midfielders only occupying the subs bench.
We dont need him unless hes a left midfielder or a left winger. Coys
