Southampton defensive midfielder Morgan Schneirdelin was at the centre of social media interest last night after apparently declaring his dissatisfaction with current club Southampton. Earlier in the day, it was reported that the Frenchman was on his way to White Hart Lane, along with Saints striker Jay Rodriguez and it was even claimed in some areas that terms had been agreed.
‘6 years of an amazing journey #saintsfc DESTROYED in 1 hour !!!’ read the player’s tweet that followed Southampton’s official stance on the issue.
Specifically to Rodriguez and Schneiderlin, they will not be going anywhere. Today, most stories state that Schneiderlin has submitted a transfer request but Talksport are the lone, dissenting voice suggesting that he is happy to stay at the club. Last night’s Twitter outburst doesn’t seem to back that up however so expect more developments in the next few days.
