12 months ago it seemed unlikely that any Spurs fans would be particularly concerned about the fitness of Nacer Chadli but as the club’s leading scorer, most would prefer to see him available for Saturday’s away fixture at Manchester City.

The Belgian added to his season’s tally with a goal for his country against Andorra but the winger was forced to miss the follow up game against Bosnia with a hip complaint, sparking rumours that the player would be unavailable for the City clash.

There’s little in the way of concrete news over this one although the Mail are among those reporting that Chadli is winning the battle for fitness – citing the Belgium medical team as a source.

Hugo Lloris is another player returning with an injury scare but once again, it’s felt that the stopper will make it for Saturday, thereby giving us a clean bill of health after a long international break. How important is it that both men are fit for the weekend?
