Vlad Chiriches is the latest injury concern ahead of a game where Emmanuel Adebayor, Etienne Capoue, Danny Rose and Andros Townsend are all doubtful. The Romanian defender has made a favourable impression in the last two matches – one that has seemed unlikely in recent weeks but a back problem should mean that Kyle Naughton slots straight back in after suspension.

We have another training session this afternoon (Tuesday) and we’ll analyse everyone then,” said Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino.

“We have one day less than Chelsea to prepare, so we’ll analyse each case and then we’ll make a decision.”

The issues over personnel are cloudy enough but the big question will surround the formation. Playing Kane and Soldado has worked in the last two league games but will Pochettino play it a little safer away from home against the league leaders by including an extra midfielder?

Here is our line up but what’s your view?

    • Whatever team we put out against Chelsea under Mourinho at Stamford Bridge we will need to be very, very, lucky to get anything out of the game.

I’m hoping Spurs do well, but to do well Spurs will need to be at the top of their game, get lucky and hope Chelsea have an off day!

  1. ………………………Lloris
    Chiriches….Fazio……Vertonghen….Davies
    ………….Dembele……….Mason
    …….Chadli……….Kane…………Eriksen
    ……………………..Soldado

Dier above Naughton. Kaboul must only play against smaller teams

  2. Bentaleb over Dembele and Naughton isn’t good enough to play in Prem League. Dier all day, I would start myself over Naughton. Kane and Bobby have to start also with Lamela missing out – he was poor again when he came on against Everton.

Lloris, Dier, Fazio, Vertonghen, Davies. Bentaleb, Mason, Lennon, Eriksen Kane, Soldado

    • Andrew I would make one change to your team not sure Dier will cope with Hazards speed so would play Naughton who is quick if nothing else.Lets hope we play 4411 as Saturday best we looked all season.Fingers crossed we can get something but if get beat but give a good account of ourselves I would be happy

      • Good point about Dier, paul. Hazard will run rings around Dier. He would also leave acres of space for Hazard to run into. Very dangerous!

  3. Lloris, naughton, jan, fatso, Ben , bentaleb , mason, eriksen, chadli, Harry and Bobby soldier, great energy at the w end, and bentaleb came back as the player he was when he first broke in to the team, keeping it simple and breaking the oppo up, Harry and Bobby worked as harry came back a lot, and jan and fatso are the best CB pairing we’ve had thus season, will still be very tough even if everybody’s on their game

  4. Team against Everton with Naughton in RB instead of Vlad. I would start with Lennon but if by 60th minute he is not contributing as expected I would sub in Chadli as he has a knack of being in the right place to nick a goal. Best that I hope for is that we frustrate Mourinho by staying compact and defensive and pressing all over the pitch and hitting them on the counter. Let’s hope we can get a result there but odds against it.

  5. As I’ve agreed with couple views above, I hope that we’ll come out with (almost) same starting XI, only change Dier in RB with Lennon supporting him in dealing with Hazard (Naughton is calamity waiting to happen and don’t remember how to cross anymore).
Although Chadli is one of our regular goalscorers, I would put him on the bench and bring him later on.
