Team news is in and for once, everyone has a clean bill of health ahead of this afternoon’s fixture with Burnley. Mauricio Pochettino confirmed this and admitted he has the most difficult team selection of the season so far.
“The most difficult job now is to pick the 18 players, that’s my job, but I’m happy because everyone is fully fit and available for selection,” he said after training on Friday.
So it’s going to be tough and probably impossible to pick a starting XI but this is a good development for a number of reasons. Surely we will see what the coach feels is his strongest team ahead of the transfer window which opens in less than 2 weeks time.
Will club captain Younes Kaboul be involved? Will Aaron Lennon or Emmanuel Adebayor even receive places on the bench? It’s going to be a fascinating selection but who will be Mauricio’s winners and losers this afternoon?
