Tottenham held on to beat Swansea 3-2 at White Hart Lane thanks to goals from Nacer Chadli, Ryan Mason and Andros Townsend.
But it was Hugo Lloris who played perhaps the most significant part in earning all three points. The Frenchman’s late, great save prevented a Swansea equaliser…
It should have been far more comfortable for Tottenham. Former Spurs midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson scored the Swans’ second goal with minutes left, and the visitors continued to bombard the home goal.
If not for Lloris’ marvellous stop, three points would have become one. Here’s how Twitter reacted.

Even when he’s perhaps not quite on top form, Hugo is still better than most. It’s never as easy as it should be with Spurs but 3pts. #COYS

Given the other results, Hugo Lloris has just saved our season. Until the weekend anyway.

Never in doubt. #COYS

Loved being proved wrong like, Hugo, if you’re reading this you massive lege you!!
