Tottenham were the better side in their Premier League clash against Manchester City, but the visitors left White Hart Lane with all three points thanks to a first-half Sergio Aguero goal.
Spurs had started well, pressing high and creating chances against a shambolic City defence. In typical fashion, the away side took the lead on 29 minutes when David Silva slipped in Sergio Aguero. The Argentine smashed the ball in at the near post, a goal that would prove to be the winner.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side were extremely unfortunate to lose the game, with Eric Dier, Danny Rose and Erik Lamela impressing the most. Here’s how Twitter reacted to Spurs’ battling defeat…

Don’t agree with everyone, wouldn’t have scored if we played 300 minutes!! While Bentelab and Mason are our midfielders we will achieve nothing.
Not good enough, not strong enough. My God we need players sold and better players brought in. A very disappointing season with some shocking performances. Definitely gone backwords this year.

Big stuff did you watch the game? And have you been watching spurs this season? That was a great performance by the team today, we just lacked the finishing which is required at this level. Bentaleb is by far the best centre midfielder that we have. He’s also young which means he will get better. Mason is young, not as young as bentaleb but still it is their first full season in the league. I do agree that we should get rid of some of the worse players we have and bring in better.
Hello friends, you may not have noticed, some of you may have in recent months, but I’m just here to pass on some news, our dear friend (known as Allardyce on these boards) has passed away due to multiple reasons at a quite young age of 59. He didn’t suffer, apart from the dismal season we have had, but just wanted to let you all know. All he wanted was to see his team win something before his time was up (just kidding, not really – he was more than that!). He only began watching what he called footy in the early 90’s so as a most die hard fan, he got to collect 2 league cups in his cap of memories (Woodgate is still his hero). Still… that was good enough (or it will have to do) because it wasn’t just about trophies, it was all about good ol fun of watching the drama of highs and lows unfold for any ol reason, wether it be qualifying for Champions League or dear us, losing Bale to Real (what a downer, and by God, Arsenal winning the 2014 FA Cup! Thank goodness, he says he won’t have to watch them win the 2015 version. Anyway, cheers, and today’s result wasn’t what we wanted, but atleast this much we know… Allardyce doesn’t have to watch this $#!T anymore.
