The signing of Kieran Trippier for a bargain £3.5m has been confirmed today and one of the big questions that his arrival prompts, is what the future will hold for Kyle Walker.

Will Trippier push Walker to higher levels, or replace him in the team? Or will Walker simply remain injured as he was for most of last season? We asked the good folk of Twitter for their verdict.

  1. Trippier good signing, but why didn’t we go for Richards as well,he can play centre or full back.I think Walker’s days are numbered unless he wants to be backup for Trippier.I also think we could have got M’Bia for very little money.Cabaye would be a good addition also with PL experience.Mason and Benteleb would be good support.
