While many Tottenham players are enjoying a well deserved rest right now, DeAndre Yedlin is instead getting some much needed minutes of play for his country.

Yedlin played on the right side of midfield for the USA in their 4-0 win over Guatemala and produced a moment of great wing-play to create the opening goal.

The 21-year old used his pace to beat his marker before delivering a dangerous cross into the box that was headed into his own net by Guatemala’s Carlos Castrillo.

Imagine this is Harry Kane sticking this away and it looks like a very decent goal.

  1. DeAndre makes things happen. He moves so quickly defenders are unable to think ahead. They have to react to what he’s created and often try to catch up. By then it’s to late for the defense. His pace is an advantage. When his skills improve he will be even more difficult to cover. Should be fun (at times, as mistakes will be made), watching him develop and driving the defenders crazy.

  2. In football pace is a wonderful asset and Yedlin has it in abundance.Defenders don’t know how to play against it.Also looks as if he can cross a ball properly.Yedlin should be converted into a winger and given time could turn out to be a very important player for us.
