Spurs are slowly but surely getting rid of their deadwood and the latest player set to leave the club is Younes Kaboul.
The French international was named as Tottenham captain last season but his poor form saw him dropped from the team. Now surplus to requirements, Sunderland are rumoured to be ready to give him another opportunity in the Premier League. Here’s how Twitter reacted to the news.

Kaboul? Are we back in 2009, like?

Should be still Ledley and kaboul in defence now but injury ended both of them and kaboul is a fraction of his 2011/12 self

Copping any sort of fee for Kaboul would be a nice bonus *hoping the mackems never learn their lesson in paying good money for our dross*

Have to feel for Sunderland fans. They already have O'shea and Wes Brown at CB, now possibly getting Kaboul too #safc

Kaboul, Kaboul, Kaboul is on fire! #safc

Potentially awesome as he has all the attributes of a great player……but there was always the “accident waiting to happen” aspect to his game when he could be commanding for 89 minutes but make a couple of schoolboys errors that led to soft goals.
