Both Spurs and Stoke lost last weekend and will be fighting hard to get points on the board today.
Mauricio Pochettino has a number of selection decisions to make after several members of his team underperformed in the 1-0 defeat to Manchester United.
Hugo Lloris looks set to return after injury, while Danny Rose is also fit again and would inject some pace into the side. Otherwise the back four should stay the same with Kyle Walker at right-back and Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen partnering one another in central defence.
In midfield Pochettino could continue with Eric Dier alongside Nabil Bentaleb but we’d prefer him to go with Ryan Mason if sufficiently fit, or even Dele Alli.
Mousa Dembele is another option in that position if the decision to play him on the right of the attack is questioned. He did good defensive work in this role but as is so often the case with the player, lacked an end product.
We’d give Erik Lamela a chance in a position that looks totally up for grabs this season. Christian Eriksen, Nacer Chadli and Harry Kane complete the attack.

what is it with Lamella?? the guy’s proved time & again that he isn’t cutting it at this level yet we still put him in.
if it were me I’d have Ali instead of the underperforming Bentaleb, put Pritchard on instead of the woeful Lamella, move Eriksen out to the left in place of Chadli & slot Carroll just behind Kane.
Bentelab was awful against united. How dembele doesnt play over bentelab or mason is beyond me! Never see the real moussa because always played out of position. As for Lamela too many chances already not good enough. Townsend much more of a threat
Kyle Walker is a disastrous, bungling buffoon of cataclysmic proportions. Kieran Trippier is twice the player walker is and it’s only a matter of time before the manager does the decent thing and makes him first choice.

He is Argentinian – the only thing in his favour from the manager’s point of view. Maybe he needs to please the Argentina national team by trying to improve him. He must be Spurs biggest waste of money – 30 million down the drain.

even top 5 looks difficult to me now. still conceding goals even with the arrival of defenders. manager is not even willing to use them. (trippier, alli, wimmer, carrol, pritcher) this is very shameful now. not able to win against a mediocre team (potters) since last 2 seasons. i hope spurs don’t finish in the second half of the table
