A day after Saido Berahino had a transfer request turned down, West Brom have rejected a £22m bid from Spurs for the striker.

Will Tottenham go any higher? Do West Brom have a figure in mind that they would sell at? Here’s the latest theories from Twitter.

  1. We want Berahino instead of Austin because Austin is the exact same as Kane. He is big and holds up the ball well just like Kane. We need something different.

  2. Pay up or shut up. Man utd will come in soon and we’ll get Chicarito (on loan) and Evans + a few million in return. He did say he wanted champions league football, he’ll not get it with Spurs, will he?

  3. Thats got be it now, they messed about Fazio Spurs said nothing! They have done all the media clap trap to try and make out we are the agressers, pull out and let one of the 15 other clubs bid!!!!!!!! Austin will help devolp Keane as well as litten his burden. We then use the rest to improve the wings and DCM….
Strong powerful midfielder, check tiote or Mahmod Sissoko of the BarCodes Move on Spurs and get this done before Saturday….. No windows down at the training ground, saying Joey Barton will be signing for a year or we have resigned Kaboul for a 3rd time.. Onwards and hopefully Upwards.

  4. Getting Charlie Austin is a no brainer. A natural goal scorer, hard worker and good character. He is also English which means he knows the culture.

  5. He’s not worth 20m no way when you look at Pedro. Get in Pato or Austin along with Balasio or yarmalenko whatever they’re names are ? WBA need to be left with him they just trying to get one over on Levy playing hard ball he is not worth that money not yet anyway massive gamble

  6. You’re all falling for this nonsense??
Berahino will sign for Spurs & Fazio for WBA before end of transfer window!
Both clubs Chairmen are ‘pea cocking’ & they’ll come to agreement soon without either losing face!
PS. Whether you rate him or not, really don’t matter, Pochettino obviously wants him!!

  7. Get both Austin and Berahino, as some cover for Kane. Also Bolasie and possibly Dwight Gale too! Get them all Levy as too light on forwards at the moment.

  8. Same old Tottenham leaving their transfer business to the final minutes of the deadline. It will get to the stage where Tottenham are desperate to sign any striker whether they fit the system or not. Wouldn’t surprise me if we end up getting no strikers at all and ending up with just Kane all season.
