With just hours of the transfer window remaining before it closes tomorrow, it’s been a pretty uneventful day for Spurs.
Yet one deal does seem close to being announced. Reports claim that Erik Lamela will join Marseille on a season long loan. Here’s how Twitter reacted to the news.

Lamela loan will free up wages. N'Jie/Son/Townsend/Chadli/Pritchard the wide options, possibly Mousa too. Ligue 1 may suit his style more.

Will probably do very well at Marseille, just like Soldado is doing at Villarreal.Would go to show the deep problem that exists at Tottenham, that neither AVB, Sherwood or MP could get the best out of these 2 players who are obviously very talented professionals and yet were total lemons at Tottenham.
i’ll believe it when the club officially announce it ..
We all wanted him to do well but did not have the strength to succeed in our division.
