Tottenham edged past Crystal Palace after an impressive team performance at White Hart Lane.
Just about everybody played a part. Eric Dier, Erik Lamela and Son Heung-Min were particularly good, and Dele Alli played well once again.
The goal came from a counter-attack. Lamela collected the ball on the edge of his own penalty area before releasing substitute Christian Eriksen. The Dane played in Son who made no mistake with his left foot. You can watch the goal here.
Hugo Lloris made an outstanding save before the goal, keeping the hosts in the game. Here’s how Twitter reacted to the result.
Tell you what, England has some real talent finally coming through. Very excited by Dele Alli.

Several good performances across the pitch, clean sheet, Son off the mark in the PL, Eriksen back and Lamela excellent. Plenty of positives.

Lloris was superb today – shows the value of a top-class keeper. Dier once again bossing that midfield, Son and Lamela so busy. Promising!

Best performance of the season so far, probably deserved a little more but thank God for Lloris.

Well deserved victory. Spurs made a good Palace side look very average for long spells. Alli, Son & Lamela all had good games. Promising!

TBF can't knock anyone today. Despite being often frustrated they kept going and going and got the reward. Very encouraging performance

Dele Alli is the player Paulinho came advertised as. Fantastic presence in the first band of midfield. High work rate. Well timed late runs.

Defensively solid, keeping great possession and slowly but surely the attacking part of our game is coming together #COYS onwards & upwards

Surely it's impossible to be anything other than massively enthused by the direction Spurs are going. Nice football, young team, good win.

Also, massive LOL at Lamela mugging off 'the one that got away' Cabaye to start the sweeping counter for the 1-0. Brilliant.
