Mauricio Pochettino has made several changes for the visit of Arsenal in the Capital One Cup.
The alterations in defence are most notable. Vorm, Trippier, Fazio, Wimmer and Rose come in for Lloris, Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen and Davies.
It’s good to see Danny Rose back in the team, but I can’t be the only one concerned about that centre back pairing. Thankfully Arsenal have made plenty of changes too, with Alexis Sanches left on the bench.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the team news…
@SpursOfficial Fuck's sake. #COYS

The team : that’s from a spoof account, right?
— Alan Fisher (@spursblogger) September 23, 2015
Arteta & Flamini start for them, our midfield can – and should -counter that. Decent Spurs team, today's the day @hkane28! #COYS

Its a North London Derby, don't care what competition is the strongest team should be out there! #COYS

Judging by the sides Tottenham and Arsenal have put out, you're best off getting some change down on >5 goals if you can find the odds.
— Raj Bains (@BainsXIII) September 23, 2015
Looks like this #NorthLondonDerby is a reserve game now lol #COYS #CapitalOneCup

Not really fussed who plays today, just as long as they smash Arsenal to pieces.

That lineup is Levy getting revenge for this being on the season ticket #LevyOut

As expected Pochettino has rotated the #THFC line-up, only cause of concern is starting Fazio, need him to have a decent game tonight. #COYS

Wtf. Why are we fielding a second string?!!! That back five ??? #THFC
— Glen Hussey (@Glebbers_N17) September 23, 2015
Well, I guess that line-up gives us a solid excuse if we get turned over. Still: #COYS!

Agreement between Spurs and Arsenal only to have 4 first XI players each in the starting line up?
— Liquid Spurs (@LiquidSpurs) September 23, 2015
Who justifies playing anything other than Spurs best team against Arsenal
This is hugely disrespecting the fans
Spurs lost because we tried to introduce inadequate players
There is a reason you don’t see these guys week in and week out in the PL because they are simply not good enough
Pochetino team selection simply says “not bothered” but that is the opposite of what the Spurs fans demand
For me get rid of the manager who doesn’t recognise the fixture being the most important of the season
