Spurs remain unbeaten since the opening day of the season after a frustrating goalless draw against Liverpool at White Hart Lane.
The hosts defended brilliantly, stopping a hungry Liverpool side from providing much of a threat throughout. Simon Mignolet was on hand at the other end to prevent Harry Kane and Clinton N’Jie from grabbing a winner.
Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld were superb once again, while Mousa Dembele put in a man of the match performance in Eric Dier’s absence. It looks as if he’s found his best position in holding midfield, but it might be too early to say.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the result.
"What about your man of the match today Michael? Well, it's a tough one, but I have to say Jürgen Klopp"

7 – Erik Lamela has committed the joint-most fouls of any player in any single 2015-16 PL game v Liverpool today. Niggly. @joshpedley

BRAVE KLOPP SNATCHES IMPOSSIBLE DRAW AGAINST ONE TIME LEAGUE WINNERS

Another clean sheet. Lovely. #THFC #COYS

Liverpool win 0-0

But that's now 8 league games unbeaten as well as having United, City & Liverpool out the way. All our draws could/should have been wins.

Not the worst result ever, looking back on it. Beating a Liverpool side under Klopp in his first game is a tough ask. Expected a draw.

Positives: #Spurs another clean sheet and still beaten only by an own goal in first match of the season at ManU. Negative: feeble finishing

Defensively we are much more solid at a time when Kane's goals dry up. #spursy

Dembele, Vertonghen and Alderweireld all excellent for Spurs today.

James Milner is still out on the pitch trying to make challenges…

Mousa Dembele impressive in place of Dier: Won all 8 attempted tackles and had a 91% pass completion rate. He'll want that position FT #THFC

Christian Eriksen created 4 chances vs. Liverpool, twice as many as any other player.

5 draws so far is the story of our season. Once we start to turn these in to wins we'll be tough to stop

.@Jan_Vertonghen: "It's a joy to play with @mousadembele. Sometimes I give him difficult passes and he makes it look easy. He's back."
— Tottenham Hotspur (@SpursOfficial) October 17, 2015
#thfc Concern about lack of options in CM continues to look ill-founded. Dembele had a fine game in the absence of Dier, Mason & Bentaleb.

Thought the Moussa Dembele holding midfield experiment worked! Was one of his best games and the role suits him to the tee #COYS

Spurs look roughly twice as good with Son in this side. His energy makes the others look & play better, too. Can't return soon enough.
