Dele Alli returns to the starting eleven following the suspension that forced him to miss Tottenham’s 0-0 draw with Chelsea last week.
The 19-year-old replaces Ryan Mason for Spurs’ clash with West Brom. Mason limped off against Chelsea with an ankle injury.
Meanwhile, Erik Lamela comes in for Heung-Min Son. Lamela came off the bench in the Chelsea game and obviously did enough to earn a start for today’s match.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the team news.
If Manchester City was to lose today we could close the gap between us to one point. Vital to make the most of their mistakes. #COYS

Pretty much expected that to be the team, the XI chooses itself now. Three points, Tottenham. #COYS

#thfc Pochettino was impressed with Townsend's attitude in asking to play for the U21s, but apparently not enough to put him on the bench.

Good team. Son a touch unlucky not to start perhaps but a great option to have off the bench. #COYS

Lamela works harder than Son. We're away at a Defensive West Brom. Makes complete sense to me

It's nice for Pochettino to have that dilemma with who to start in Lamela & Son, when both have playing ever so well recently for us.

Looks like WBA are playing 5 at the back. We will need to stay patient today but it's certainly winnable. #coys

All i think when i see Lamela over Son is that i am happy. Rotation is lovely. Play the lineup that best suits countering your opponent.

Son done well but Lamela also been good this season. Competition for places will push both as well as Chadli when he returns. Happy days

Lamela over Som in the XI today. Poche valuing defensive energy over offensive width/pace? #COYS
— Chris Lane (@chrisjjlane) December 5, 2015
We'll need Lamela's running and hard tackling today against a physical WBA side. Makes sense picking him over Son. #THFC

Son offers more of a threat off the bench than Lamela. I expect a tight game today so we may need something different as the game goes on

Don't understand Lamela over Son personally. Son offers more going forward and he's not lazy defensively either
