Spurs face Leicester tonight in what will be the second clash between the sides in the space of a week, but we can expect a very different lineup from both clubs tonight.

Mauricio Pochettino and Claudio Ranieri took the opportunity to rotate their teams at the weekend, resulting in a 2-2 draw.

Pochettino is likely to restore Hugo Lloris, Kyle Walker, Jan Vertonghen and Ben Davies, alongside Toby Alderweireld who started on Sunday.

In midfield, Eric Dier and Tom Carroll should play again, with Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Erik Lamela in front of them. Harry Kane will lead the line, after coming off the bench to score the equaliser in the FA Cup tie.

Here’s our Spurs team to face Leicester, what’s yours?

  1. Dembele, I hope , is fit and will start alongside Dier. Very little else can change. This is our best side and its what we have to stick with until we get a suitable player to give Kane a rest. The bench has to be a strong one tonight ; Vorm(although I’d rather have Pat Jennings at 80 ! ) Son, Chadli, Rose, Carroll, Wimmer and yes Townsend

  2. chadli should never play for spurs again chadli. he is very very lazy . all the time he has been out we have done well . when he starts . we start with 10 men . just get rid of him .

  3. Chadli’s doing badly and we need to sell him sadly, he adds noting to our game or to our team, play Moussa the producer if his hamstring’s feeling loosa cos he like the cat that got the cream.

As for E Lamella he’s a petulant young fella and he needs to stop those stupid little fouls. But he plays him for a reason cos he’s better than last season and he has the vision of a parliment of owls.

    • I think we should play Son because with him in the team, Leicester´s plus goal difference will be gone, and any other alternative to him would just be plain… bad? D´oh!

  4. Why are there people calling for lamela to be dropped?! Wtf are you talking about???!!

    Assuming dembeles fit:
    Lloris
    Davies
    Vertonghen
    Alderweireld
    Walker
    Dier
    Dembele
    Ali
    Eriksen
    Lamella
    Kane

If Dembele isn’t fit then carroll comes in

  5. I’m inclined to think Carroll is playing better than Eriksen who has been very disappointing of late, particularly with his dead ball kicking. Frightened of a tackle, too.

  6. M.dembale should be our first choice if he’s not fit bentaleb if he’s not fit (son) should of front and should bring Ali in the main role 4th choice should Carroll he still look not fit enough to be our first choice

    • I agreed with you that Carroll can never be our first choice player and if he starts tonight’s game, we have got a very slim chance of winning the game. He is not Dembele and he can never be a Dembele. He is totally a different type of player and our midfield will be a lot weaker with him in the team. We will get bullied in the middle of the park if we can’t get hold of possession of the ball. With Dembele playing, he always stabilizes the ship, take control of the midfield and outmuscle the opposition players there. Every time I noticed that if he plays, our defence tends to be more stabilize and doesn’t have to soak under pressure. A draw game tonight all over my mind and I hope I am wrong. COYS!!!

  7. Tom Carroll is the player on form, so it would be madness to drop him. Play him further forward with Dier and Dembele behind him.

  8. Time to drop Ericksen. He has lost the ability to take a corner. It is really not difficult to clear the first man. He needs to be learning from the pass master Tom Carroll.
