Mauricio Pochettino has named Kevin Wimmer in a Premier League line-up for the first time as Tottenham travel to Norwich City.
Wimmer starts in Jan Vertonghen’s absence alongside Toby Alderweireld, while Kyle Walker and Danny Rose return in the full back positions.
Nacer Chadli seemingly hasn’t done enough to start. The Belgian is on the bench with Heung-min Son preferred to accompany Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen in the attacking midfield trio.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to all the team news.

That might just be our strongest team. Son/Lamela is a close call, but I like that Son is an additional 'runner'. https://t.co/St8fvLwqKK

Don't think Lamela's been poor enough to deserve being 'dropped' but I guess that's the strength of our squad in that area now.

Solid team. Let's get ourselves three more points in the bag – every game becomes crucial at this point in the season. #COYS

Would be nice to see a good, secure performance from wimmer tonight to settle any concerns about Jan absence.

Could argue Chadli & Lamela unlucky not to start. Chadli due to his goal to game ratio & Lamela due to his work rate on/off the ball.#THFC

#thfc An in-form Chadli and a tireless Lamela cracking options from the bench.

Big game for us tonight – have to show our resolve if we want to be considered contenders. Wimmer will step up ? #COYS

Decent team. Should get all the three points today. Up the Spurs. #COYS

Time for Kevin Wimmer to step up, he has looked solid in cup matches and can clearly do it. Son playing wide shows he is not a striker #COYS

Who's got a fiver on a Bassong goal then? #COYS

That team’s absolutely spot on for me tonight. Wimmer steps straight in, Dier keeps his role, Son in for Lamela… I approve! ?? #coys

Pretty strong side for Spurs at Norwich but i prefer Trippier to error-prone Walker. Chadli deserves a game too. #thfc #coys

I have to say I like the look of this team! Some good options off the bench as well! #COYS

Not nervous at all with Wimmer starting, looked extremely comfortable against Leicester #YIDO #COYS
