Christian Eriksen’s late winner gave Spurs all three points against Manchester City in a game that could be pivotal in this season’s title race.
Harry Kane opened the scoring from the spot 10 minutes into the second half after Raheem Sterling appeared to handle a Danny Rose cross.
Manchester City equalised through Iheanacho, but birthday boy Eriksen won it for Spurs with a fine finish on 83 minutes.
Spurs Twitter was understandably joyous. Here’s the best of the tweets from after the full time whistle.
What a three points!!!! I've aged 10 years but worth it to celebrate a great victory. Uh, thank you Mr Clattenburg #ManCityVTottenham

That ball from Lamela. That finish from Eriksen. The sound of those plastic Man City hearts breaking.

Actual title contenders. Not might-fluke-it-thanks-to-one-good-player, but actually one of, if not the best, teams in the PL. Unbelievable.

Big celebrations from Spurs players & Pochettino at away end. Last time Spurs were 2nd in top-flight at this stage, Poch was 13 years old

So much has been made about what an achievement it will be if Leicester win title, but same should be said of Pochettino and this Spurs side
