After a number of loan spells the young goalkeeper Jordan Archer was released by Spurs in 2015 and signed for Millwall. This weekend Archer hit the headlines having provided the most amazing moment of the weekend in Millwall’s 3-0 win over Peterborough.
Archer’s teammate Mark Beevers hit a suicidal back pass from near the half-way line that put the goalkeeper in trouble. Back-peddling furiously, Archer was in serious danger of being lobbed, yet was unable to use his hands to stop the ball without being penalised.
There was only one way to make the save and Archer pulled it off. On a weekend that Tottenham suffered a defeat, this will put a smile on your face.
