The Sunday People have claimed that Spurs are tracking the Argentine forward Jonathan Calleri.
They report that Mauricio Pochettino has alerted Daniel Levy to Calleri’s availability, with all the pieces having moved into place for a summer move.
The 22-year old made his name at Boca Juniors, before an investor group bought his registration and loaned him to the Brazilian giants Sao Paulo via the Uruguayan club Deportivo Maldonado.
Calleri is in need of a permanent home and a transfer to England will be a realistic prospect in the summer, when the uncapped player qualifies for an Italian passport which will ease any work permit issues.
The striker has eye for the spectacular and hit the headlines last season when he scored an amazing rabona goal which even put our own Erik Lamela’s effort in the shade. Watch the astonishing goal below.
I think we should for Jonathan Walters, a hard working player with lots of Premiership experience who is lethal infront of goal. None of this foreign crap, keep em out.
I think you should as well.
Hello Steven my friend, I look forward to receiving a financial donation off you which my family and I can spend. We like to spend money it’s a great great feeling to spend money. My family is big so donate generously Steven. My brother is waiting for his prison sentence thanks to you.
Criminal parasite? Almost a stereotype.
I detect undertones of racism Garry. You are no longer my friend.
@Steve: a touch xenophobic there if I may say. So by your reckoning we should export Pochettino, Eriksen, Alderweireld and co. I don’t think so! I’ll admit I haven’t heard of this young Argentine striker but it is fairly certain that Pochettino would get the best out of him and there is no reason why he shouldn’t join Spurs, especially if he can be bought for considerably less than Berahino and co. COYS!
@Steve: you are so xenophobic that your knobhead, pea-sized brain is blind to the facts as to who has brought Spurs to the position they are in or acknowledge the many foreign individuals are responsible for the extra quality of the Prem League from managers to players. Remain immersed in the gutter and don’t bother to spit your ignorant rubbish.
The world will not be watching EPL n England
If u are good u are good..we trust Poch.
Don’t need spectacular, we’ve already got that in spades. We need an out and out poacher that buries ’em week in week out. Not sure this kid fits the bill, his record is ok, but he’s hardly prolific.
