Tottenham came out of the international break relatively unscathed in terms of injuries. Toby Alderweireld suffered with illness but is fit enough to start against Liverpool. Moussa Dembele has also overcome an ankle problem.
Erik Lamela, though, misses out on the eighteen altogether with a calf injury. The Argentine is replaced by Heung-Min Son.
Jan Vertonghen still isn’t quite fit enough to the return to the squad. Elsewhere, Mauricio Pochettino has gone with arguably his strongest eleven.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to all the team news.

Disappointed that Lamela being out doesn't mean Mason coming in and moving to a balanced 433:https://t.co/IH5q5oZR2b

#thfc Lamela, who returned from Argentina on Thursday, is a miss. Adds intensity. https://t.co/xbNzKGiJ0E

Strongest possible team for LFC. No Firmino or Benteke who are injured. Coutinho starts despite only returning from S.America on Thursday.

Lamela misses out. Hope he isn't too much of a loss for us today – his work rate would've really come in handy today. Son needs to step up.

Son gotta turn up today. Happy with that team. Shame Liverpool haven't rotate though

I know it gets said every game, but for me this is *the one*. We never win at Anfield, so if we do it now, we're going to win the league.

That team today was pretty obvious after international duty and players travelling, let's go ! #COYS

Massive game for Son coming in for the injured Lamela, a real chance to seize on an opportunity here & prove his worth to the team.#THFC

I like Son but he's not played well for ages. It's a gamble. Gulp. #COYS

I'm a Lamela fan & I always prefer us with him in the team #coys

Big opportunity for Son, but Lamela is a huge miss. Also means Chadli is a likely substitute #THFC #COYS
