Having won multiple titles as both a player and a manager, Graeme Souness is someone who understands what it takes to capture the league.
Now working as a pundit on Sky, Souness has claimed that Spurs are still in the fight to win the title, as they have the easiest run in.
Leicester are seven points clear of Tottenham with six games remaining, but Souness believes that they can still slip up.
“Everything can happen in football. A year ago they were dead and buried in terms of relegation.
“You can say there are easy fixtures left, but this is the Premier League – nobody rolls over for the big guys.
“People look at a fixture and say ‘that’s an easy three points’ – no you can’t.
“The biggest factor is whether you are playing against teams who have something to play for. If you factor that in, Tottenham have the best run-in.
“Tottenham will believe they can win it. They will believe that Leicester will slip up. They just have to focus on their own job now, and see what happens.
“It is Leicester’s to lose, and that brings added pressure.”
Spurs’ most difficult remaining fixtures look to be the games against Manchester United and Chelsea – two sides that Leicester must face away from home. In addition, the Foxes have still to play relegation threatened Sunderland and in-form West Ham.
I’ve gone through Leicester’s fixtures as well as our own and MY DEFINITIVE FORECAST is that we will finish level on points and take the crown by virtue of superior goal difference’. Shall I go to my bookmaker tomorrow?
If we finish above United, City, Woolwich, Chelsea & Liverpool u would expect to be champions , so to come 2nd to Leicester would be a huge blow & prove we are jinxed. Ive watched them & they r not that great. We have drawn too many Oh for last years results at Lane v Chels , Arse & Leic. However Spurs should be in this position far more often. We will finish above Leic next year & come fifth
