Just a couple of days after Adele unfurled a Tottenham banner midway through her gig at the London O2, another world famous musician has publicly revealed their love for the club.
Manic Street Preachers bassist and lyricist Nicky Wire is a lifelong Spurs fan and was once offered a trial at the club. Wire was highly-rated as a youngster and the captain of the Welsh schoolboy team aged 14, before injuries curtailed his football career.
The Manics have recorded the official Euro 2016 song for Wales and Wire thinks that he might have to record a number for Tottenham soon, as he fancies us to win the Premier League.
“I’ve got a feeling Spurs will do it, Leicester will draw a few and we’ll win more.
“I have to write a Spurs song as well as a Welsh one now.
“World in Motion is the benchmark. That and Diamond Lights, obviously.”
