As expected, Mauricio Pochettino keeps faith in the eleven that resoundingly beat Manchester United 3-0 at White Hart Lane last weekend.
Goalscorers Dele Alli, Toby Alderweireld and Erik Lamela all start in what could prove to be the biggest match of Tottenham’s season at Stoke City.
Social media was abuzz when it was announced 40-year-old Shay Given will start in goal for the hosts. Barely used by his club these days, Given’s inclusion is apparently a boost for Spurs. Either that or, in typical Tottenham fashion, he’ll have the game of his life.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to all the team news.

Unchanged from the thumping we gave Man Utd & rightly so, team picks itself these days, now time for us to get the job done tonight! #COYS

*Shay Given blinder klaxon*

Given in goal is an interesting one. If Harry finds the corners like normal, Given's going to struggle to get down. https://t.co/PNfDhE2JHX

40 years old. First BPL start for Stoke. Lets just accept Given is going to have an absolute blinder today. #Spursy

#thfc Spurs at full strength. Njie on the bench would've been nice but otherwise I can't think of anything to complain about or comment on.

Genuinely had no idea Given was still playing football. Can't wait for him to do a Krul tonight.
