When Leicester dropped points against West Ham yesterday, Tottenham knew they had to take advantage against Stoke.
And that’s exactly what they did. Doubles from Harry Kane and Dele Alli saw Spurs win 4-0, moving within five points of the leaders.
Kane opened the scoring in the first half before Alli added a second after the break. Kane made it 3-0 with a close range finish to wrap up the points. Alli then grabbed his second to make it a rout.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to a stunning away display.
Wow – what a performance. Can't believe my eyes… A masterclass in how to play at Stoke @SpursOfficial #coys

I've said it before, but worth repeating. Lamela this season has been worth every penny of his hefty price tag. Class act.

Undoubtedly #Tottenham's best away performance this season – and title-winning one at that. Will it be enough? Too close to call #THFC #LCFC
