Spurs have been linked with a summer move for the Palermo attacking midfielder Franco Vazquez.

The Mirror claims that the Italian international is ready to leave the Sicilian club as he looks to play in European competition next season.

Juventus have tried to prise the Argentine-born playmaker from Palermo in past seasons, but having qualified for the Champions League, Tottenham have the opportunity and the financial muscle to prove more attractive than the Old Lady.

Vazquez scored eight goals and seven assists this season, having notched ten goals and ten assists last term. Most often employed as a central attacking midfielder, the 27-year old can also play on the wing.
