Things look to be moving quickly in the Vincent Janssen transfer saga, as Paris St Germain ramped up their interest in the Spurs target.
Janssen was conspicuous by his absence in his club AZ Alkmaar’s first pre-season match on Friday, as the Dutch club won 5-1 in a friendly with SVW ’27.
This was followed by the news from L’Equipe that PSG have had a bid accepted by AZ for the forward, only for Janssen to reject the French champions as he prefers a move to White Hart Lane. PSG are said to have now targeted Alexandre Lacazette – another player who has been linked with a transfer to Tottenham.
The rival bid looks to have prompted some action from Spurs, with L’Equipe claiming that the club have made a new bid for Janssen.

Hopefully PSG’s interest has indeed prompted action from Tottenham. Janssen is clearly desperate to sign for the club and wants to join our pre-season training as quickly as possible – which given Mauricio Pochettino’s exacting standards regarding fitness, makes a lot of sense.
If true let this be a lesson to Levy – get yourself organised man.
