It’s a big day in the transfer market, with some huge fees having been paid by Tottenham’s rivals.

Manchester United made Paul Pogba the world’s most expensive player at £89m, while John Stones is now the costliest defender on the planet having joined Manchester City for £47.5m.

Stones will be replaced at Everton by the £12m signing of Ashley Williams. Meanwhile, Spurs fans have been feeling pretty smug, as they sit back and admire our own talented squad, that was assembled at bargain bucket prices. Here’s how they reacted to the day the transfer market went nuts.

  1. We’ll speaking of transfers latest rumor has it that Memphis isn’t in Jose marhinuos plans I can’t help thinking he would fit in nicely in the rotation if united would be willing to let him go for less than 25 mil

    • I thought about Memphis too but poch wouldn’t even consider him because apparently he has an attitude problem and poch does like players that can potentially cause problems

  2. And as much as I love dembele he isn’t as good as pogba and he’s much older so that’s a crazy statement even though I too love spurs I’m realistic pogba isn’t worth nearly what was paid however

  3. pogba will be a good player for PL but not good as so many other midfielder is much better then him , just an ordinary MF . see what he can bring to MU , i doubt it

  4. I think we are overlooking the youth coming through. Winks, Harrison, Walker-Peters, Onomah, Carter-Vickers and the big one that I am looking forward to…Edwards! Little Pele that kid! The future is bright…the future is Lillywhite!

  5. Be patient with Ryan mason.couple of long injuries last year set him back a bit
The season before he was very good.he can get us a couple of goals with his late runs.
