Clinton N’Jie is close to joining Marseille on loan, according to French newspaper L’Equipe.
Once N’Jie’s departure is confirmed, Tottenham will be able to officially announce the permanent signing of Marseille winger Georges-Kevin N’Koudou.
N’Koudou, who is expected to cost Spurs around £11 million, appeared to confirm his transfer via Twitter the evening before deadline day.

N’Jie’s first season in England was disrupted by a number of injuries. The striker made only handful of appearances for Tottenham and failed to register a single goal.
There are suggestions N’Jie is keen to return to his former club Lyon. But L’Equipe appear confident he will join Marseille as expected, meaning N’Koudou’s transfer should go through without any problems.
N’Koudou has been training with Spurs since last week and is likely to be eager for the deal to go through as soon as possible.
In addition to N’Koudou, Espanyol goalkeeper Pau Lopez could arrive on deadline day, and reports suggest Tottenham are also monitoring the situation of Newcastle United outcast Moussa Sissoko.
We are upgrading. No surprise. Perhaps this time we will do it properly. By this I mean get players who are best suited to the role we need and not players we wish to convert. We seem to have got into this Gareth Bale rut where his one success at conversion from defensive back to attacker made us think we were alchemists. We aren’t. Nobody is, but the problem was compounded by Eric Diers’ conversion. We already went through having too many number tens, Chadli, Sigurdsson, Holtby, etc. and trying to convert them into wingers with the result that we had no width and were predictably easy to defend. Well done Poch for spotting it and dumping the rest and keeping the best, Eriksen. Now we need wide men to spread it about and keep the enemy guessing, hence our interest in Zaha, Sissoko, etc. Doing so would also mean our wing backs won’t be caught out of position so often trying to provide the width that playing three number tens won’t. Have faith, Poch knows what he’s doing. Only two of the Bale seven left, well, that’s the conversion factor.
I agree, also impressed by the ease at which Poch releases the excess players without harm. Players obviously have loads of respect and vice versa. It’s what’s best for both parties. The Teams is crying for some pace up front and another player with vision such as Eriksen to freshen up when his form lets him down as present. It’s easy to see as their is no flow in attack, however Poch understands and I hope he gets the players he feels that fits into his vision. Spurs for Life
