One deal that didn’t go through in the summer transfer window was a possible return to the Bundesliga for attacking midfielder Heung-Min Son.

The South Korean had been linked with a move to Germany, where a host of clubs were interested in taking the former Bayer Leverkusen star back to the Bundesliga.

Wolfsburg reportedly made a £24 million bid, but Tottenham rejected the offer and confirmed they were unwilling to let Son leave the club.

Now WAZ, a German publication, are claiming Wolfsburg could return with another bid for Son in January.

It’s assumed Spurs rejected any approach for Son because was there was little time to find a suitable replacement.

But attacking midfielders Georges-Kevin N’Koudou and Moussa Sissoko eventually arrived on deadline day, meaning Son may now find it hard to get minutes. With that in mind, a January departure is possible.

What do you think? Should Tottenham cash in on Heung-Min Son in January?

  1. With N’Koudou having been sat in a hotel room for 6 weeks, still needing to learn Pochs system, and the games about to come thick and fast, I’d say theres plenty of opportunities ahead for Sonny.

  2. Great player Son is!
However, for the amount of money that was supposedly bid, by the Germans, would be foolish to not take it in January!

  3. “It’s assumed Spurs rejected any approach for Son because was there was little time to find a suitable replacement.” Or, it could be as simple as, Pochettino values him and he still fits into his plans?

Let’s not make a mountain out of molehills.
