Mauricio Pochettino has made various changes to his Tottenham side for the visit of Gillingham in the League Cup, with a number of young players selected in the first team and among the substitutes.
Cameron Carter-Vickers, Harry Winks and Josh Onomah all start, while Alfie Whiteman, Anton Walkes and Marcus Edwards are on the bench.
Christian Eriksen captains the side and, notably, Kevin Wimmer makes his first appearance of the season at centre back. Georges Kevin N’Koudou could make his Spurs debut from the bench.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to all the team news.

Delighted Wimmer is back in the team & hopefully that brushes aside the rumours of him falling out with Poch. Excited to see Edwards/GKN.

What's the point in playing Carroll? Should have played Winks with someone who may let him play his game

Good to see some young players in the team and on the bench. Expecting a competitive showing from Gillingham. https://t.co/NrloH8oYjm

Carroll and Winks as a double pivot, like Winks but don't fancy them as a duo, Carroll needs to be binned
