Arsenal and Tottenham couldn’t be separated in the first North London derby of the season at the Emirates.

Kevin Wimmer’s unfortunate own goal gave the hosts the lead just before the break. Harry Kane levelled things up from the spot early in the second half after Mousa Dembele was fouled by Laurent Koscielny.

Spurs had chances to win it with Christian Eriksen twice coming close, hitting the post and forcing Petr Cech into a low save.

But Mauricio Pochettino’s side will arguably be more pleased with the draw given Arsenal’s good form going into the derby.

Here’s how Twitter reacted to Tottenham’s performance and the result.

    • Er, think he was on the right of a back 3, Bernard. However, what a different performance to that awful one we saw on Wednesday. They all played their part today, even Eriksen.
