Mauricio Pochettino has made just one change to his Tottenham team that beat Swansea City 5-0 at White Hart Lane on Saturday.
Harry Winks replaces Mousa Dembele, who is on the bench. Bar Dembele’s absence, the eleven is arguably close to Spurs’ best, which is frustrating to many given the weakened selections in previous Champions League outings.
On a positive note, Toby Alderweireld is finally fit again and returns to the squad, albeit only on the bench.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to all the team news.

A stronger team to stay in the EL than to stay in the CL

Strong XI from Pochettino tonight, hoping to see out their Champions League campaign positively. Another big night for Winks too. #THFC https://t.co/4P8NfID2KR

Tottenham Hotspur's first choice full-backs Danny Rose & Kyle Walker start together for the first time in the Champions League. #COYS#THFC

#thfc Stronger side than the one vs Monaco, when Spurs still had a chance of progressing. Maybe the goal's been the Europa League all along!

Rarely disagree with anything Poch does, but to play a stronger team tonight than in our make or break game a couple weeks back in plain odd https://t.co/rzdXJbGor6

No argument with line-up tonight, frustration it's taken until when we're out the Champions League to field a very strong team. #COYS#THFC

Strongest starting 11 we've put out in the champions league and we're already out ??
Tottenham. So Tottenham ?— Stuart BryanTHFC (@StuBryanTHFC) December 7, 2016
Strong team. I'd imagine Poch wanting to eliminate any Wembley "hoodoo" for next season played a large part in his selection.

That Spurs team is a joke, given the XI picked in Monaco. Not resting players for the game vs Chelsea next month, I guess….

Pretty sure Poch knows more about the fitness of players than us. Not that baffling he knows when they need a rest and when they don't ??
