Tottenham finally dispelled their Wembley hoodoo after easing past CSKA Moscow, securing Europa League football in the process.
It may have been easy in the end, but CSKA were in front for a short period in the first half. Goals from Dele Alli and Harry Kane secured Spurs’ turnaround before the break.
Alli played a part in the third goal, too, providing the header that was somehow fumbled into his own net by CSKA goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the result and performance.
No win regardless size of margin was ever going to satisfy us, tonight simply about remaining in Europe & therefore job done! #COYS#THFC

Good win for Spurs but highlights this was a group they should have progressed from. Learning curve for players and management. And fans.

#thfc Lots of good performances but, like Swansea, CSKA were poor. We'll get a better idea of where Spurs are now vs Man United on Sunday.

The one Champions League goal I saw us score down our end at Wembley was bicycle kicked into his own net by the opposition keeper.

Didn't go Saturday, 5-0.
Didn't go tonight & we end our 8 year Wembley hoodoo.
I'm not going to Old Trafford either ?

Spurs will be one of the strongest teams in the Europa League, and it's a legitimate avenue to the CL. Here's hoping we give it a good shot.

Kane is life. Life is Kane.
Since he's been back on the pitch Eriksen and Alli have raised their game. Nice passing and movement #COYS
