Two uncharacteristic errors from Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris handed Manchester City a two goal lead early in the second half at the Etihad Stadium.
Firstly Lloris rushed out to quell a dangerous City attack, but could only head the ball against Leroy Sane who ultimately had a tap in.
Moments later the Frenchman spilt a seemingly simple cross at the feet of Kevin De Bruyne — the Belgian tapped home to double the hosts’ lead.
Spurs replied quickly through Dele Alli. The midfielder nodded in a Kyle Walker cross to put Mauricio Pochettino’s side back in with a chance.
