In a recent Q&A session with Everton’s official Youtube channel, Ross Barkley was asked to name the toughest player he has faced in his career to date.
Like many others have in the past, Barkley claimed Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele is the most difficult player he has played against.
Barkley said: “I played against him [Dembele] when I was 18 or 19 and I thought it was very tough. He’s probably the hardest player I’ve played against.” He added: “He’s a strong player, he gets his foot in well and dictates play.”
The Everton midfielder has been linked with a move to Spurs in recent months — perhaps he wants to join Tottenham so he doesn’t have to play against Dembele anymore.
