Former Tottenham duo Jake Livermore and Jermain Defoe have been called up to the England squad by manager Gareth Southgate.

On social media, Spurs fans seemed happy for Defoe, but many believe Harry Winks should have been called up instead of Jake Livermore, who now plays for West Brom.
Winks is in the u21s squad, which is probably where he should be right now. But it’s difficult to accept Livermore will bring more to the current set-up than Winks.
Eric Dier, Kyle Walker and Dele Alli have also been called up to the senior squad. Here’s the best of the reaction on Twitter.

Jake Livermore > Harry Winks 🤔

Jake Livermore >>> Mark Noble

The 140 character limit does not allow me the necessary number of >>>s to make an objective comparison between Harry Winks & Jake Livermore.

As much as I hate international breaks and rather Spurs players didn't get called up, Livermore over Winks is ludicrous 😂😂
