It took just 14 minutes for Tottenham to open the scoring in their Premier League clash with Southampton at White Hart Lane.
Heung-Min Son had come close to drawing first blood when he was put through on goal by Christian Eriksen, but the Korean was quickly closed down by Saints goalkeeper Fraser Forster.
It was Eriksen who eventually broke the deadlock on 14 minutes. He latched onto Mousa Dembele’s pass and blasted the ball into the bottom corner with his weaker left foot to give Spurs the lead.
