Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy claims he is unsure about the immediate future of White Hart Lane, suggesting Spurs might still play at their current home next season.

On Wednesday, the club announced record revenue of £209.8m and a profit of £33m after tax for the last financial year. Accompanying the statement, Levy gave an update on Tottenham’s new stadium.

He said: “We continue to focus on ensuring that the future of the club is protected at all times and therefore, whilst everyone is eager to know if this is our last season at the Lane, we shall only make the decision to decommission our historic White Hart Lane when we have greater certainty on the delivery of the new stadium.”

Finances aside, Spurs have won their last 12 matches in all competitions at White Hart Lane, so the supporters are keen for home games to continue to be played at the famous old ground, rather than Wembley, until the new stadium is ready.

  1. How I’m wishing we’ll retain the name for our new stadium. Goodbye White Hart Lane, hello White Hart Lane. Sounds so much classier than the Emirates or the Ethihad or the Reebok.

  2. I agree it should be white hart lane but it probably won’t happen as naming rights it’s all about money I love the old ground the atmosphere on cup games is electric I was there for the 10-4 against Everton and left when the score was 7-3 C.O.Y.S
