Hugo Lloris will miss Tottenham’s trip to Swansea City through illness, according to the club.
The Spurs skipper is replaced by former Swansea goalkeeper Michel Vorm. He and Ben Davies will face their former club at the Liberty Stadium. Jan Vertonghen will deputise as captain.
Victor Wanyama misses out — he injured his back against Burnley at the weekend — so Moussa Sissoko starts. Heung-Min Son also comes in for Vincent Janssen.
Tottenham could either play Sissoko in central midfield with Dembele, meaning Eric Dier would drop to centre back in a 3-4-3 formation, or Sissoko could be deployed as one of the three attacking midfielders behind Son in a 4-2-3-1 system.

What is the point of Sissoko? Bad first touch, can’t dribble to save his life, can’t pass a ball, no end product. Squad depth is killing us.

#thfc Llorente misses out for Swansea but Naughton, Carroll, Routledge, Sigurdsson start. Add Vorm & Davies and its 6 players v former clubs

You’d think we were in a relegation scrap and without Hugo we’re doomed. Let’s talk a moment to relax, folks. Vorm is fine.

Really hope the starting 11 can do it today because the bench is horrific

As un-ideal as it is to not have Hugo or Victor <sob>, Vorm is an excellent keeper. As for Sissoko…. well….maybe he’ll surprise us #COYS

#thfc The good news is the return of the Dier / Dembele axis of power. The bad news is probably Sissoko. This could be his last chance.
