Tottenham are unconcerned about reports linking Eric Dier with a move to Manchester United this summer, according to The Daily Mail.
United are believed to be preparing a £40 million bid for Dier, who has been a key part of Spurs’ title challenge this season in both defence and midfield.
The 23-year-old signed a new contract worth £50,000-a-week last year, but will know he can probably double those figures at Old Trafford.
The Mail claims Tottenham have no intention of allowing any player join to a Premier League rival, backing up Daniel Levy’s claim that the club won’t sell anybody for non-footballing reasons this summer.
Levy has also suggested there will be no further pay rises for players who have signed long-term deals recently.
While the money might be tempting at United, Dier’s development has been hugely aided by the management of Mauricio Pochettino. Jose Mourinho, on the other hand, doesn’t have the best record when it comes to nurturing young talent.
