The Sun is the latest British newspaper to jump on the Tottenham player exit bandwagon.

Journalist Dave Kidd claims Eric Dier and Danny Rose want join Kyle Walker in leaving Spurs this summer.

The reports suggests all three players have their heads turned, discovering they can earn far more than their current wages if they join one of the Manchester clubs.

Dier, Rose and Walker are all believed to earn around £65,000-a-week at Tottenham. Manchester United and Manchester City would be able to double those figures.

Walker is reportedly unhappy after losing his place at right-back to Kieran Trippier in recent big games. Pep Guardiola is thought to be keen on signing the 26-year-old.

Dier has been linked with a £40 million move to Manchester United for some time now, while Rose is also attracting the interest on Guardiola at City.

There is a genuine chance Walker will leave, but it’s very unlikely Spurs will let Dier go given his versatility and importance to the team.

Rose recently underwent knee surgery, so he is almost certain to stay in north London. Here’s how Tottenham fans reacted to the latest rumours on Twitter.

  1. I don’t understand why it is said Kyle is leaving – is it because he wants to play every game or because he wants more money? In my opinion he has been a stand-out this year & is guaranteed 90% playing time – what will he get in Manchester ? It doesn’t make sense – he’s got a long contract at Spurs & you’d wonder if he will get half that st twice the money at City – given his injury record – I don’t know why I read this stuff!

  2. I don’t understand why any player should want to leave given the vibrant, exciting football Spurs have played for two seasons. One thing is definite, those players producing such football deserve to be properly rewarded financially. If the only problem is the level of pay then give them the money. They’ve earned it.

  3. Rather than celebrate a beautiful team and a beautiful club – the Press/ Media seemingly just want to break it all up. Does that help English football or the national team? Sometimes I am ashamed to be British. We can be a hellish cynical lot!

  4. I think Mr Levy should reward the players with an improved contract and put in buy out clauses. Kane 150m and the rest of the team 125m. Then see what happens

  5. This is all part of the agents schemes “leaking “so called half truths to their journalist chums, trying their best to generate trade in the close season,so they can earn obscene sums of money for doing FA,they need shooting.

  6. The mighty Tottenham Hotspur have THE BEST,most exciting, talented young team in The League, all is needed is a couple of experienced European cup pedigree players in there to move the youngsters onto the best level??That is all we have lacked….big game experience and how to overcome those jittery moments which lose us those big games.Apart from that ANYONE in their right mind who would want to leave a team as exciting, fresh and fucking brilliant as ours then let them! If they think of leaving then they shouldn’t even be in the squad.Only players commited 100% to the cause can wear the mighty cockerel?Levy has been brilliant wheeling n dealing so far but now has to seriously burn his wage structure and rewrite a new upto date one which fits with the modern system of astronomical wages!!! There’s no way around it,it has to be done or we will definitely lose out big time. This is time for us to reign supreme so do what needs done and let’s march on to real glory?COYSSSSSSSS!!!!
