Tottenham have edged past Liverpool as favourites to sign Ryan Sessegnon, according to The Times.
The 17-year-old has enjoyed an incredible breakthrough season in the Championship, scoring seven goals in all competitions for Fulham.
Sessegnon is primarily a left-back but was deployed as a left-winger on many occasions last season.
Tottenham are reportedly “bracing themselves” for the potential exit of Danny Rose to Manchester United — Sessegnon would be a ready-made replacement.
Of course, the Rose rumours are speculative at best. Sessegnon is more likely to be an understudy than a replacement.
The England U19s international would also have to battle with the in-form Ben Davies for a place in the side.
