Tottenham are interested in signing Dutch duo Joel Veltman and Davy Klaassen from Ajax, according to The Telegraph.
But The Mirror claims Everton are hoping to seal a £20 million deal for Klaassen in the next week or so.
The Telegraph also suggests the Toffees are very keen on Klaassen, who could cost as much as £26 million.
That said, it is understood Spurs could move for the 24-year-old. Champions League football could help to lure him away from a move to Merseyside.
Tottenham were linked with Joel Veltman last week and those rumours continue to intensify. The versatile defender has just 12 months left on his contract with Ajax.
