Porto defender Ricardo Pereira has a release clause of £22 million but his current club are prepared to negotiate a lower transfer fee with Tottenham, according to journalist Lyall Thomas.
According to multiple sources, including Sky Sports, Spurs are considering Pereira as a potential replacement for Kyle Walker, who is expected to join Manchester City in the coming weeks.
Despite the right-back’s £22 million release clause, Lyall Thomas claims Tottenham could end up getting him for as little as £13 million.
The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at Ligue 1 club Nice, scoring twice in 29 appearances. You can watch Pereira find the net against Paris Saint-Germain below.
