AC Milan playmaker Suso has suggested he wants to stay with the Italian giants despite interest from Tottenham.

That follows reports from earlier this week that claimed Spurs had stepped up their interest in the Spaniard.

Mauricio Pochettino wants to add more creativity to Tottenham’s attack, and he is believed to be a big fan of Suso.

The 23-year-old joined AC Milan from Liverpool in January 2015 having failed to make an impact in England, but he has improved significantly since arriving in Serie A.

When asked about his future, Suso told Sky Italia (relayed by talkSPORT): “I want to thank the fans for the messages they are sending [asking me to sign a new contract].

“We have had an agreement since December, but they are now prioritising other things.”

He added: “I have several offers from clubs in the Champions League, but I am happy here, I want to stay here.”

Suso chipped in with seven goals and 11 assists in 37 appearances for Milan last season. The former Liverpool man has has just two years left on his contract.
