Eric Dier may push for a new Tottenham contract after being refused a move to Manchester United, according to The Mirror.

Spurs are yet to receive any bids for Dier and they are apparently adamant the midfielder will stay with the club.

That follows multiple reports claiming Manchester United have either made a bid already or are set to make an offer for Dier.

On top of that, the player is believed to be keen on a move to Old Trafford. But it seems Tottenham are refusing to be bullied by their Premier League rivals.

Dier signed a five-year contract thought to be worth £70,000-a-week with Spurs last September.

The Mirror suggests the 23-year-old may now push for yet another new deal. He could double his current wages at United, but I’m sure Tottenham won’t be keen on paying him much more than £100,000-a-week.

Regardless of whether Dier signs a new contract, it looks almost certain he will stay with Spurs.

  1. The Manure loving media continue to spout this crap! They seem determined to weaken Spurs by trying to unsettle their players. Levy said a month ago Dier would not be leaving. Dier does not want to leave, would anyone at Spurs trade Pochettino for foul mouthed bully Mourinho?
