Tottenham saw a bid to include Manchester City youngster Jadon Sancho in a deal for Kyle Walker knocked back, according to The Mirror.
Sancho, 17, is yet to commit his future to Manchester City by signing a new contract. The England Under-17s international is considered one of the most talented young players in the country.
City are reportedly set to sign Walker from Spurs after agreeing a fee of £50 million following long negotiations over the eventual price.
During those negotiations, Tottenham were keen to include a City player as part of the deal. Kelechi Iheanacho had been mentioned, and The Mirror claims Spurs also attempted to get Sancho in a cash-plus-player deal for Walker.
It’s clear now that City weren’t interested in losing Sancho under those circumstances, but the young attacker could still leave if he doesn’t sign a new deal.
It is believed Arsenal and Bundesliga side Red Bull Leipzig are also keen on the 17-year-old, so Tottenham will have a fight on their hands.
Usual crap. If this is the case then Aguero or de Bruyne. Quality & mature. See how they like it.
